AEROSMITH's TYLER, PERRY And HAMILTON Celebrate 40th Anniversary Of Their Self-Titled Debut
January 3, 2013North American syndicated rock radio show "In The Studio: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands" travels back to January 1973 when AEROSMITH of?cially took ?ight, starting their eventual rise to rock stardom.
It is hard to imagine American rock 'n' roll without AEROSMITH, a band that embodies all of the quintessential elements right from the start: crunchy guitars, sneering vocals, beefy rhythms, and a swagger in attitude. The band's blueprint power ballad, "Dream On", actually appears on AEROSMITH's self-titled debut album, which came out in January 1973. However, it would be three years before the song would top the charts and ignite the group's career.
"In The Studio" program host Redbeard catches up with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton as they reminisce about the beginnings of what would be "Aerosmith". Steven shares, "To say that it's a dream come true, to become famous, to have an album out, get your voice and songs on the radio, it's a real trip. It really is a dream come true."
